Review:

Honestly, this film is one to watch once in a very long time because I watched it twice and it was too damn long. But I could say that it was magnificently excellent, passed good. The plot was great, but I think it felt quite short, like it was obvious there would be another The Hunger Games movie. But killer effects, still the same Hunger Games that you know and love.

I would like to touch the subject of revolution in this movie. I frankly believe that somehow this kind of revolution, somewhat similar but it does not mean on the target, would happen in a few years, or even decades This idea of revolution would actually scare me, where politician, rulers acts as if they are gods, contain citizens with fear.

This movie challenges the mind of the idea of something that would happen in the future, and the role of Katniss Everdeen is the perfect way to set up a flicker of hope. Beautifully portrayed and a wonderful story line to top.

Film Review: Cloudy with A Chance of Meatballs 2

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2
Title: Cloudy with A Chance of Meatballs 2
Language: English
Genre: Action & Adventure, Animation, Kids & Family, Science Fiction & Fantasy
Directed by: Cody Cameron, Kris Pearn
Distributed by: Sony Pictures
Running time: 1 hr 35 m
Ratings: 6.5/10

Summary: (thanks to the Rotten Tomatoes)

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 picks up where Sony Pictures Animation's hit comedy left off. Inventor Flint Lockwood's genius is finally being recognized as he's invited by his idol Chester V to join The Live Corp Company, where the best and brightest inventors in the world create technologies for the betterment of mankind. Chester's right-hand-gal - and one of his greatest inventions - is Barb (a highly evolved orangutan with a human brain, who is also devious, manipulative and likes to wear lipstick). It's always been Flint's dream to be recognized as a great inventor, but everything changes when he discovers that his most infamous machine (which turns water into food) is still operating and is now creating food-animal hybrids - "foodimals!" With the fate of humanity in his hands, Chester sends Flint and his friends on a dangerously delicious mission, battling hungry tacodiles, shrimpanzees, apple pie-thons, double bacon cheespiders and other food creatures to save the world again!

Review:

I would like to say that I am a bit disappointed by the prequel from the first film, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. It starts with young Flint Lockwood who meets with his idol, Chester V the so-called owner of Live Corp. But everything in life has a twist, and this movie has one. It was a bit predictable to know that Chester V is evil. But doesn't all animated movies go as so.

But I would like to say the effects of this movie is splendid, and extremely cute. My personal favorite would be the live marshmallows and I could say the hamburger dog's eyes is pretty ugh disgusting to watch. But it is a good movie, overall and I would recommend to anyone. Well it is odd to see me watch these kinds of movies but there is no new ones sadly.

Film Review: Carrie (2013)

Carrie

Title: Carrie
Language: English
Running time: 1 hr 39 m
Directed by: Kimberly Peirce
Distributed by: Screen Gems, Sony Pictures
Genre: Horror
Ratings: 5/10

Summary:

A re-imagining of the classic horror tale about Carrie White (Chloƫ Grace Moretz), a shy girl outcast by her peers and sheltered by her deeply religious mother (Julianne Moore), who unleashes telekinetic terror on her small town after being pushed too far at her senior prom. Based on the best-selling novel by Stephen King, Carrie.

Review:

Okay I would like to say that if you're not over 18 and you're not a fan of gore or any type of violence, I would advise you from watching this movie because it contains so much heavy stuff. I looked forward to this movie because one of my favorite actors, Chloe Grace Moretz is in it. And so when I watched it, I could possibly say that I was not really a fond of it due to the explicit violence that is shown throughout the entire movie.

This movie is based on the best-selling novel, Carrie by Stephen King and yes, I have not read it (but my dad did).

Frankly, I was quite scared because most of the scenes are quite gruesome. It starts with Carrie, who was in his last year of high school, who has magical powers or as scientifically known as Telekinesis. I think this movie is a very unrated version of Matilda (I think most people have seen it) but turned wrong. It is correct as told in this movie that you could push someone so far until they reach their boiling point - and this is what happened to Carrie that made her do all of the stunts to those horrible kids.

The story line and plot was actually quite slow. There are a lot of movie qualities in Carrie, but I couldn't say I really like it. Kimberly Peirce has failed to depict the horror classic, and lead to a very scary movie that doesn't really get anywhere.

Film Review: Ender's Game (2013)

Ender's Game\\

Rating: 6.5/10

Ender Wiggin (Asa Butterfield), a shy, but strategically brilliant boy is pulled out of his school to join the elite. Arriving at Battle School, Ender quickly and easily masters increasingly difficult war games, distinguishing himself and winning respect amongst his peers. Ender is soon ordained by Graff as the military's next great hope, resulting in his promotion to Command School. Once there, he's trained by Mazer Rackham, himself, to lead his fellow soldiers into an epic battle that will determine the future of Earth and save the human race. Based on the best-selling, award winning novel, Ender's Game is an epic adventure which stars Asa Butterfield, Hailee Steinfeld, Ben Kingsley, Viola Davis, with Abigail Breslin and Harrison Ford

Review:

As I told before, I'm not really someone who is a fond of sci-fi movies but I could say that Ender's Game is quite excellent, and I am being exceptionally truthful. The story starts with young Ender Wiggins who is a genius young boy who is very accurate in war games and it turns out that he is only born to serve the Nation in some sort if I remember it correctly.

So this movie is based on a book with the same title if I assume correctly. I never read the book, and also, I'm not a fan of science fiction books. But this movie has a lot of good qualities - some are bad too but what I find disturbing would be the story line is too - rapidly fast. He got promoted too fast and the story's time line is too fast. I think that would be the only thing I find disturbing.

Good qualities, good actors and excellent story overall. Ender's Game is really a sci-fi classic, something that you don't really find often nowadays. I'm not complaining but you don't really get a good film these days, so I applaud Ender's Games and the team that has made this movie possibly great in my opinion. And also mind blowing stunts, and killer graphics.

Film Review: Thor: The Dark World

Thor: The Dark World

Title: Thor
Language: English
Running time: 1 hr 52 min
Directed by: Alan Taylor
Distributed by: Walt Disney Pictures
Genre: Action & Adventure, Science Fiction & Fantasy
Ratings: 7/10

Summary:

Marvel's "Thor: The Dark World" continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvel's "Thor" and "Marvel's The Avengers," Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos...but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.

Review:

I could give you the chances that there would be another Thor film, maybe about two next years because there is no ending to this movie. I could not totally say that I liked it wholly because I am not really into those comical and fantasy movies. I am more into those non-fiction one like documentaries and such (I know right, such a nerd) so in my whole perspective, not in my preferable choice, Thor is an exhilarating one, full of plot twists and games, and I could say that the ending was quite, I'm going to put this delicately would be too predictable, in the end, as it is, Thor saves the day.

Even today I like the casts. Chris Hemsworth is a god and a very good actor, he suits this movie and I could not say the same about Natalie Portman because I like her better as a main actor, not a supporting one. But we all have our own preferences, yes? This movie was actually very good. You have intensity, and you also have humor to top it up. This is what I give the directors credit for.

So as a conclusion, it's a very good movie, even if it is not my type. But I would want to ask, where did Odin go if Loki turned into Odin? I mean people can't just disappear, I mean, lord yeah they could live up to 5000 years but it does not mean they could just turn to be MIA. And no, I did not cry when Loki 'presumably' died. At the end, it was just a movie that was jam-packed with cool fighting scenes, action and most of all, romance.
